Greetings 1974 d Lincoln cent I believe that's a grease filled mint mark then on the reverse the n in cent looks clipped. Looks to clean for taking a hit. Broken die perhaps. I do a lot of research on coin talk but it gets overwhelming. Thanks all

Okay. Well I looked at all 3 of your coins posted and didn't see much . Then I cleaned my glasses real well. I looked good and hard and still nothing . :(

The N took a hit.. No broken die.

Suggestion.. There is a Error Coins forum here om CoinTalk. There you can ask any questions regarding RPM's, Doubling, anything weird you may want to know about on your coins.

Now that's funny cleaned your glasses and still nothing very nice on the obverse the n in the word one took a hit didn't have to be a very clean hit there's no other marks or abrasions leading to it but then again I see your point how would it die make that cut

They can wear away over time.

Now that we got all the pleasantries out of the way here's a 1974 Philadelphia Lincoln cent. Check out the one and the four in the date MD or DD. Then if you look at the w and e in we is that an MD or DD I think this is one of the hardest areas for me to understand about the doubling I'm slowly getting it but it's too slow. Then on the reverse nothing much going on but somebody dug a hole underneath the Lincoln memorial or could it have been a mole get it mole lol thanks coin talk 20210901_120233_HDR.jpg 20210901_120443_HDR.jpg

Worn doubling and all doubling is a difficult area to understand as there are so many types of it. And it’s a difference from copper to zinc cents.
