I went through two boxes of halves today, usually I just pull out silver and NIFC and proofs. Today I decided to pull out 72 D for the no fg, and 74 D for the double die. I put them in a pile and went through them at the end. I would say I had about (40) 74 D to look through and there was one really crappy one with tape on the front. I was thinking, please don't let that be the one that has the DD. Well sure enough I think it was one, but I know there is machine doubling or whatever, so I am not sure. What do you guys think? If it is, what can I do to at least get the stupid piece of tape off, I tried to peel but didn't work well, also I don't have nails? Also what do you think its worth in this condition?
That's the DDO.....I've found about 12 of them or so. I think acetone would work on the tape. Nice find
