1974 D 25c railroad rim error?

    4.6gms in weight but how does a person determine if it is legit? I can't even remember when I had put this one away its been sitting so long.

    That is not a railroad rim. Like @Heavymetal said, an acid dissolved some of the copper.

    Environmental damage. It's been in acid as already mentioned.
