    I'm looking for opinions please and thank you. This appears to be a 1973-S Silver Ike DDO? A lot matches up with the proof DDO listed on Variety Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 11456081.JPG 11456081-002 (2).jpg 11456081-002 (3).jpg 11456081-002 (4).jpg 11456081-002 (8).jpg 11456081-002 (9).jpg 11456081-002 (11).jpg 11456081-002 (13).jpg 11456081-002 (11).jpg 11456081-002 (13).jpg 11456081-002 (15).jpg 11456081-002 (16).jpg

You can't compare a proof with a business strike. The dies used are made using different methods.

It's weird Chris because the Dies used on this MS coin nearly match up perfectly with the Proof Dies of the genuine DDO. The notching in IGWT is clearly visible.

    Welcome to CT!!

    cpm9ball is correct.

Doubling like this is very common in Ikes. Even more so in the SB coins.... new one's are being found every day. Yours looks to be a copy cat. Similar to, but not quite.

Can I ask If we could get a good clear close-up shot of the B & R in Liberty? Also one of the neck from the ear down? I just want to check something...thanks.

If you like Ikes you can find a lot of useful info here http://www.ikegroup.info/

Thanks for the pictures. I was looking for doubling in the R and tripling in the B. Not seeing either.

Was also looking for a die scratch on the neck...pics are kind of dark...but there doesn't appear to be one.

Just another copy cat with no major doubling. Still a nice Ike though.

    Keep hunting...Mont.

The neck marks are normal and there is also a MDO and a SDR too.
