1973 S penny

    Deep obv. rim. I immediately felt the difference when I picked it up.

    i believe thats just the way the coins were struck, i find a lot like that from late 60's an early 70's when roll searching..

    these deep rimmed coins were struck under a lot of die pressure , this sunk the die into the planchet deeper than normal . these are fairely common in the 72 and 73 cents.
