1973 S penny rpm mint mark

    There are few rpms for 1973 and 1975. Hopefully, I found one. Any thoughts? 15695507009670926-39.jpg

    IMO it honestly it looks like the mint mark took a hit and smooched it some. I recommend you take a pic of the entire coin on both sides, this helps people that know what they are looking for to identify it better.

    No. it appears as if there is a die chip in the bottom loop. Rpms are movements of the mm punch between the normal 2 hits on business strike die and the 3 or so with proofs , so if a mm punch shifts between hits, there will be a protrusion of the second from under the first on the finished coin if the same manual force is used.
