1973 Quarter-coloring

    I came across this 1973 Quarter and thought the coloring was pretty neat. I have never seen one like this.     Yes.. that is Environmental Damage. Exposure to the elements can change the appearance of any coin. I have dug up thousands of clad coins such as yours over the years.

    I've have found ton of the type coins. I have just never come accross one with the same shading of dark color all over the coin. The coloring is usually reddish dark brown or light grey or has a mixture all over. Here are just a few of my findings.
