Hi everyone what do think about this nickle? It was struck on both sides
one with the reverse on the obverse and reverse on the obverse. I'm
a small time collector and never seen a nickle like this one,any comments would sure be appreciated. Would this be a flipover strike or double strike I know its rare whatever it is.
    Thanks

This is would be called a "Flip Over Double Struck" error (on-center, or in-collar). Very cool and congrats on finding it. It appears that it may have some corrosion or PVC damage. You may want to consider sending it into NCS for conservation and slabbing... Here's thier link:

Well, I couldn't tell you the actual value persay, but, I can tell you what I would give for it, seeing as how I collect errors, I would pay around the area of 80 bucks for somethin like that, but, a little less if the coin is damaged... Of course that's what I would pay for it, it could be worth way way more, or way way less...Sorry I couldn't help much more, I'll look around online tonight and see if I can't come up with anything though :D .

I really don't want to sell the coin just to get a ballpark figure. I do think it's a good idea to get it graded.

I wasn't offering, just lettin you know from an error collector what I would pay for such a coin, while I might pay 80, someone else may pay 500 bucks, while another would only pay 15 bucks :D But, yeah sending it off to a reputable service would probably be a good idea, and maybe see if they can't give you a value for it...

That is a really cool find! It looks like its in a nice enough grade that it would be worth conservation too.

    Nice Find!!

Did you get it in circulation or did you purchase it as an error?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Wow, you are quite lucky

For me, I would go to PCGS and let them grade it, then keep it or put it on Ebay.

Thankyou and what do feel about anacs?

PCGS would body bag it and it would be returned as "damaged", ANACS would net grade it because of the damage but still may be a decent option.

Jason's original suggestion of NCS is probably is probably the way I'd go.
They can probably get the PVC damage off (enhancing the appearance of the coin) and then have it slabbed/Graded at their sister compnay, NGC if you're so inclined.

Even if they can't "grade" the coin, I believe NCS can still slab it without a grade.

If you don't want to spend the money to conserve the coin, SEGS would slab it too.

Wouldn't CONECA slab and gade it through their grading partner?
