  1. Hi, I have a 1973 D USA JFK half dollar with a large die rotation. Are these rare and what sort of a value would it have?

It appears to be rotated a little more than 90 degrees. It's hard to estimate what it would be worth. If more than one person was bidding on it, there is no telling how high the price would go.

Fred Weinberg lists a Prez Dollar that is rotated 80 degrees for $225, but it is graded MS64 by PCGS.

83,171,400 were struck. How many do you think had a rotated die?

They don't make rotated dies except by accident. No way of knowing the mintage but it's a keeper.

First I would ask what is the weight and what sound does it make when dropped? The reason I ask is it could actually be a hollow magicians coin. I have found many over the years.

    Great idea!

For him though, I hope it is not a trick coin.

If it is not, great find and wish I had one!
