    Sorry, but the doubling on the reverse side
    is not from a doubled die.

    It's the common form of doubling, called
    ejection/mechancial/shelf/strike doubling.

    The line on the reverse isn't a die crack -
    it's a scratch.

    Die cracks are raised off the surface of the coin,
    and scratches (and struck thru's) are Into the
    surface of the coin.

    @Gator

    I hate to break the news to you, but that looks like machine doubling.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

    I can hardly wait for a whole new slew of USB microscope recipients from Santa's largesse.

    Pretty much textbook md 'flat, shelf like and all in one direction' but keep looking there are doubled dies out there to be found and once you see one in person it gets easier to distinguish true doubling from mechanical doubling.

    I have one but it won't load on my laptop so I now have to buy a new laptop. It's getting expensive for my new found hobby but I'm loving it I'm gonna keep this one made me so excited lol

    As long as they don't post useless close-ups, who cares!
