FOund this searching in rolls. Looked on CONECA's site and couldn't find it. Anyone know of this one? The first pic is kinda blurry but the second one shows it well. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/erwizard/1973KennedyUNI.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/erwizard/1973KennedyHALF.jpg
It appears to be hub doubling. The Kennedy Halves are known for these. As long as the shelfs (space next to the letter that is doubled) are flat as it appears yours is then there is no premium.
I don't think it's hub doubling, that would be a true doubled die. I think it's mechanical doubling, which I agree has no value.
erwizard...I see you also live in Tempe. Your half dollar is strike doubling, not from a doubled die. Larry Nienaber
65GT350, I think you meant Machine or Strike Doubling! If the coin had Hub Doubling from a Working Hub or from a Master Hub, then it would be a true Doubled Die!
