Found this auction with what looks like the same "variety" but as the seller states it's not in the CPG. Maybe a weak strike could produce this, or strikethrough. I'll let others chime in because I'm kind of thinking aloud here.
Very cool find. A 1973 D variety is known where the F is missing and the G is weak. Looks like this may be one.
I've found more than a few of these while roll searching and have had them looked at at a few LCS. They all said the same thing - with a loop you can see part of the FG is there. i've put them back into circulation
No F on this one at all and has the weak G, matches the cherry pickets guide. I have also found a few where there was a hint of the F.
