I’ve been trying to weights these a lot of time this morning. must of them 3.1 I also have 1972 d penny 3.2 ...but this one 1973 is way too high.
Standard is 3.11g +/- 0.13g or 2.98 --> 3.24 and that usually is only for 95 out of 100 coins. The accuracy of your scale is no better than +/- 0.05 and could be even worse. I saw one cheap scale on fleaBay that had one decimal place but was only +/- 0.25g
Hey, that's the exact same scale I just got a few days ago! And that is an error, but I don't know value. Mint tolerances are 0.13 grams for copper pennies.
If the scale is accurate, best case it's a trivial overweight - it happens when blanks were rolled thick. I doubt it's worth an extra cent over face.

View attachment 1147706 your right this is the exact scale I have hundreds of pennies this is the only one I got and I think it’s way too high .. thank you GH#75
First, get another scale that reads to 0.01 g. Second 3.3 on your scale could be anything from 3.26 to 3.34 and still read out as 3.3. The tolerance for a cent is 2.98 --> 3.24 g so, hard to know. Keep searching and enjoying!
Best to start a new thread and post photos of both sides as this thread is almost a year old. Welcome to CT.
