I won the bid on a 1972 mint set last week. To my surprise, the 1972s cent has a double strike s on it. I logged into my ngc account and they do not show anything for a variety s/s for a 1972 lincoln cent. Here is the pics, keep in mind that the appearance of scratches is on the cellophane packaging...this coin is in a high ms state. I would like to have feedback on whether to get it slabbed, since it is in high ms condition, or just post it on ebay.
I do not see any mint mark variety from the photos. There is only one RPM on CONECA and none listed on Coppercoins.com, Lincoln Resource Center, Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents, nor my other references, so it is most likely not a RPM. jIM
