I have a sealed 1972 mint set where the '72-S cent has been damaged by the mint. The reverse rim has several straight deep grooves that go down almost flush with the fields. They start at the left of the Lincoln memorial, and run across to the "c" in cent. The obverse has what looks like vice-grip marks on the rim that radiate outward, starting above "liberty" and extend over to the "e" in We. There are no signs of any damage to the pliofilm, and there is no discoloration on the coin. The seal around the coin is original and intact. Can you give me an estimate of it's value? Thanks,

    Max

Not much, even if the damage is from the mint. There's plenty out there that are not damaged. You're best off keeping the set intact.
