I was surfing my change and noticed this penny was a little different than other pennies. One side is extremely thin while the other side is a bit thicker, and the strike seems to be just a tiny bit farther to the left than my other pennies. I know they sometimes aren’t perfectly centered, but this one is just a little bit more uncentered I would say. It’s a 1972. I can’t seem to find anything on 1972 errors though.
It is very common on Cents minted in the 1970's.. I have dozens of them Check this webpage out - http://www.lincolncentforum.com/misaligned-die-errors-vs-off-center-strikes/
