1972 penny offset obverse

    is it just my luck, or was there a problem with the 1972 penny face being offcenter whe it was punched. i have quite a few of these that were not entirly centered, theyre not bad, but just off where they are not centered
    sorry but i cant include a scan.

    Most likely a misaligned die if both side are not off-center to the same side.

    Just to help,, coins are not punched they are coined, an entirely different process that will pay you to learn.
    When metal is punched or stamped the metal is forced around (or upon) a die or guide and most often just one die of guild - when coined the metal is forced up into the dies and there is three dies of them, obverse, reverse and collar.

    thank you, i will have to check this out and see if i can find a video of coining process
