1972 Lincoln Penny

First time I have seen a penny this color and was looking for information on it. Pictures don’t really do justice but I put it beside another copper penny. Also, is that a die crack on the Reserve side? Thanks in advance for the information!

    Either environmental damage or it's been harshly cleaned in the past and starting to retone. It looks like there could be a lot of abrasive scratches on the surface. It's a spender

    Did "Yellow Jackets" go back this far? (wrong alloy mix) Not that I'm questioning the comments, just curious.
