1972 Lincoln cent, Doubling of date ?

    Need to determine if coin has doubled die or offset. Can anyone identify the issue? Regards, Mike L.

    Offset hub doubling IS a form of doubled die. This coin is not a doubled die. It's MD.

    I agree with Jody...there is some machine doubling to the south of the 2.
    Keep up the hunt!

    I agree, it looks like MD. Just so you know, the 1972's are a little tricky anyway. There was a master die used that showed slight hub doubling. That means there are a bunch of '72 Lincolns out there that show light doubling on the 2, Liberty, and In God We Trust. Just so you know.
