    No, a railroad rim would bulge out more than the reeding... PMD.

    That is the edge of the coin, not the rim.

    It looks like a partial collar. Usually the unstruck portion of the edge on a Railroad Rim will mushroom out. I'm not sure what is going on with this coin. Could it have been an encased coin? I don't know.
