Ok so I have posted a few threads in the last couple days. Wife is off camping so I have some alone time. Sort of..... Anyway here is a 1972 cent with a really strange font (is it Font or called something else?) I'm calling it a Funny Farm balloon cause that's only thing I can think of. It's just stretched in weird ways. Almost comical. Comments are welcome.
Haha...well that could be I guess but the rest of the "devices" (I believe is the right term) are normal.
That's one reason we like to see photos showing the whole coin. It's perfectly easy for only one part of a coin to get smooshed.
That could be..... absolutely Look at how how dies are made and you'll understand why this can't be a different font. The letters and devices are on the Master Hub. https://www.doubleddie.com/58201.html https://www.usmint.gov/learn/production-process/die-making
It's called damage. Lets see, maybe we could coin a phrase for it. I'll start with calling it "peopleidice." LOL
