I'm back again. I'm pretty sure you all are getting tired of reading "what I think I found". I know my pics aren't the best but it's all I have right now. I can see, in my loupe, where there is doubling on the motto "In GOd We Trust" you can see doubling on the N and W in my pics. The letters also appear to be thicker too.
I've been to that site but the variety I think it may be, requires me to buy a microscope to look at an ants nose hair!! Lol.
May I respectfully ask why you say it's not? The reason I ask is because I know the pictures are very crummy and you can't see what I do in my loupe. I'm not trying to be negative or insult you intelligence.
simply because, based on the pictures, it isn't a DDO. However, if you had better pictures................
I understand your reasoning. I guess I still have some of that military mentality. When something was said, didn't matter if it was wrong or right, it was always right.
This one my not be a DDO.but keep hunting. I posted this one last year raw and experts here said not a DDO. But Ngc said different. expert advice??? Sometimes it's not given here .
How could someone say that wasn't a DD? It's very obvious. That's like getting punched in the face and having your wallet stolen! I wonder why some would do that? Keep the numbers down so that their prized possession doesn't lose value because there were more varieties made than previously thought? Just a thought.
Jello, Can you give the thread location please. I can understand the detail grade, but I certainly would like to see the thread. Jim
Jim it was before Cointalk change format 1 year ago?? Maybe longer. I been looking for the thread since last month when coin came back from Ngc. Its titled " 1972 DDO in Change?" Error section is were I posted it.
Jello, I do not know why it would have been lost, I checked and my posts back to 2008/9 https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coin-buying-education-101-3-new-7-31.63603/ are searchable , and that was before I became a moderator. Did you originate the thread, and are you sure of the title? Sorry I can't help you.
