    Hi guys,

I have this 1972 D Lincoln Penny with a thin, weak strike on the Obverse motto "IN GOD WE TRUST". The letters are very thin, especially "GOD" and "RUST", and also on the "L" and "Y" in Liberty. Is this due to a die adjustment or a weak strike?

Could be grease beginning to pack in there, couldn't it? Wait for others to chime in though.

Die Deterioration issue. Not a weak Strike.
