This coin seems to match Wexler's WDDO-004, but the 2 is different. It has a die chip on the reverse in the same place as listed as the die marker for stage C. The Obverse is pretty worn, but some indications still show.
No, it doesn't appear to be #4 , although the photos are not sharp enough to be fully declarative. The -004 has a very visible spread on IGWT , and LIBERTY. I believe that the obverse die is deteriorating and may cause some distortion of the letters and date. Markers are OK to help confirm a die, but not on the die pair ( reverse in this case) as they could be changed individually, and a reverse could be used with a non-DDO and a DDO obverse ( different die).
ya i have a set of 15 1972's that i got out of a mint novelty souvenier bag, 5 from each mint. All 15 show'd signs of doubling, but was told it was master hub doubling. Supposed to be very common for that year.
