I think is a gold version. I have the original envelope with stamps and first day of issue stamped on it.

Does it look like the gold version? Any thoughts on a value?

    Thanks

Did they make a gold version of these?

Those were issued in Bronze, and gold plated bronze. That's the standard bronze issue. The medals produced by the mint for the ARBC were offered in sterling proof issues as well from 73-76, and the packaging changed twice. I wish they'd have offered the 72 in Proof. I'd own one. I like that bust of Washington.

I don't think so. I know that some of these were minted in silver, but I don't think they minted any of these issues in gold.
