    Morning,
    I read about the 1972-D being struck on Phillipine 5c Sentavos but this 3.11g 1972-P appears to have the same die clash and wondering if it is possible? That is if it is a duel denomination. The example of the 1972-D pics(last 2) were the clearest I could find. 20210319_102046.jpg 20210319_102148.jpg Image_2021-03-19 10_10_53_998.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_12_10_959.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_17_10_730.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_18_07_757.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_13_33_776.JPG Image_2021-03-19 00_13_46_932.JPG 1972-D cent on Phil Obv.jpg 1972-D cent on Phil Rev.jpg 20210319_102046.jpg 20210319_102148.jpg Image_2021-03-19 10_10_53_998.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_12_10_959.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_17_10_730.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_18_07_757.JPG Image_2021-03-19 10_13_33_776.JPG Image_2021-03-19 00_13_46_932.JPG 1972-D cent on Phil Obv.jpg 1972-D cent on Phil Rev.jpg the best I could find to compare.

Don't think so. your coin doesn't appear to be brass.

Cents previous to 1982 were made from copper alloy and should weigh 3.11 on the average plus or minus 0.13grams.

Yeah, it's why I had to ask if what happened to the 2.5g planchet struck with 1972-D Lincoln die could happen in reverse order to a 3.11g planchet. I couldn't find a better example of the 1972-D to compare my 1972-P to. Thanks

I see a normal cent with a little Machine doubling. There are so many rpm types, that a good microscope is often needed to see any variations. Jim

Thanks the last 2 pics of example were the best I could find to compare the duel denomination clash or in the 1972-D coin off metal as well. I compared the 1972 Phillipine 5c sentavos to my 1972 and matched up the clash but being weight is the regular 3.11g figured it was difficult if not impossible for a clash to happen but had to ask the experts.
