1971d penny /dime error??

    Found this interesting1971d penny. Dime struck in middle, what sort of error would this be?real?I've not had any luck in researching information.. download.jpeg download (1).jpeg

    Somebody with too much free time on their hand error. Looks like somebody drilled a hole in the cent and ground down a dime and wedged it in there.

    Sorry, but it's not an error. It was made after it left the mint. Just somebody messing around in a machine shop

    Too bad the large crimping device smooshed the rim. They needed a smaller press and larger back support to make it better looking.
