Since you posted a 69-S, 70-S, and 71-S in three sequential posts, are you asking about the significance of the S mintmark? The San Francisco mint produced cents for circulation from 68 to 74 with the S mint mark. But the numbers produced were small by modern standards and since its been 40 years, they are rarely found in circulation today. So while it's unusual to come across one, they are only worth a cent. Likewise, there are S-mint nickels for 68 through 70 as well.
