    So I believe I have a 1971s ddr much like the 1971d ddr 801 but I cant find any registered errors with the s I also have what looks like a planchet crack on the d in dollar this came straight out of a proof set

    I am not seeing any doubling on the quarter you posted. You will need to get better photos maybe out of the flip. It looks like a normal proof quarter.

    Its fresh out a hard plastic mint set so it came out the mint like this
