1971 S Penny Class 2 and 5? What Do You Think?

    I was surprised to find this penny and have spent lots of time working on the photos and testing in the test forum to make sure they look okay. It has been tricky since I won't clean it. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

    my opinion is that if both the mintmark and date are affected, then it is either some MD or die deterioration...

    thank you for your input.

    I should have included the info. that the mintmark is considered repunched. From the coppercoins website, "[SIZE=-1]Extremely strong distorted and pivoted (from K-5) doubling shows on all devices except for the date. This die also exhibits a repunched mintmark identified as 1971S-1MM-010P"[/SIZE]
