A friend of mine recently got a 1971 nickel in change , it has no mint mark , seems to be toned gold or plated and i am told it has a small image of a nickel where the mint mark would be i will be getting a picture soon i hope , but any ideas of what it is?
Probably an after mint punch to the nickel, plus, possibly gold plate. No value, above 5 cents that is.
