1971 Nickel has a 3

    I noticed a 1971 Nickel I have seems to have a small raised 3 under the 1. I can't find this error anywhere but it looks like a legitimate 3. Thoughts anyone? PXL_20210217_054243158.jpg PXL_20210217_054205868.jpg

    Just damage or someone playing with a little die stamp....not a coin from the year 19,713 ;)

    Damage. And even the number if that's what it is, is the wrong sized font. Nothing to do with anything at the mint.

    Welcome to CT @Ryan Ruh. That is an interesting anomaly you have there but not a mint error. As mentioned, that number 3 isn't the correct size to be much of anything other than damage and pareidolia, so NAV, no added value, but I'd keep it as a fun find. Others may try to post it on Etsy for $50,000. LOL
