    Good day everyone,
my daughter brought home a huge amount of pennies, this is one I found interesting, trying to figure how something could cause damage like this, my first thought is chemical, but looking in the crater, just isn't consistent with being melted.

    Hi, Dottie!

There is no telling what really caused this damage, but it is safe to say that the Mint did not create a special die just to strike this coin..........PMD!

    Post Mint Damage

I was thinking a Cent that was temporarily used as a fuse in and old fuse box until they purchased a real fuse. Electric current damage.

oops, I just realized that, after you said it, I was worried because I posted the other day and I truly don't know what happened, it posted twice, I tried to delete it but couldn't, then it was deleted and a message said be patient, lol, I don't want to be seen as I'm not patient, I appreciate all the support you all give, can't be more thankful.
