1971 Iran Proof Set 2500 anniversary of Persia

    Well, seeing that the events in Iran today. I thought it was a good time to post Iranian coins from better times before tyrant Khomeini.

    My first ever coin buy.....this is MA-shop foto. My set is still encased in protective plastic tray. So would not look as nice. Post your Iranian coins from Shahs. 34466_1_2v_c.jpg

    You know, that was my first ever coin purchase!
    Cost me $261.00 Canadian, these were struck at the RCM in 1971. The Biafra Set was my second coin buy....$1100US
    has 4 1/2 oz gold.
