Hey guys I found a 1971 Ike Dollar that is still in the casing from the mint. I would grade maybe 65 66. Any idea on the market price for these????

I also have a 1951 Franklin? Not a D. Any idea. Just looking for rough estimates and advice.

Thanks, this forum has been the bomb in helping me!!!

There is a huge difference between a 64 and 66 1971 Ike, so unless you have it slabbed it's all in the grader. 1971 Ike MS-64 $25 or $30 on the other hand 1971 Ike MS-66 $1800 to $2000. With out knowing the grade of the Franklin, $0.50 to $400.00.

Also, the Ike was never in a Special Mint Set (SMS) but was in uncs from the mint.

The only 1971 Ikes in Mint Packaging where the 71S Silver Proof (Brown Ike) and the 71S Unc Silver (Blue Ike).
A 1971 (P) Ike dollar in MS65 depending on the strike can be worth a $100-$200 and one grading MS66 can worth several thousand.
