1971 Half Dollar with knot on front

    Hello,

    Can anyone tell me if this is an error coin? It seems to have a knot on the front.... It is not junk on the coin, the knot is made of metal and the nose and part of the L in LIBERTY is printed on top of it. As you can see, it is not a puncture from the back.
