So I was wondering if someone on here could help me. I have found this coin. I have tried to find information on it but I have found nothing. I appears to be a 1971 D Penny, but it isnt made of copper. It appears to have the finish of aluminum, or unpolished silver? It looks completely different from nickels or dimes. It doesnt appear to be steel, it isnt magnetic. I have some photos, but they are poor quality.
Greetings. It is most likely plated with a white metal (by a high school student for a class) or coated with mercury.
