There is damage on front and back with slight nicks, thinning of letters on back and coin looks like could be on wrong planchet. The weight is showing 2.97, .I would like to know if damage could be the main factor for this weight? Thanks in advance for all replies 20200420_185005.jpg

The weight is still within tollerance.

A long sheet of Cent stock was rolled just a bit thinner than normal before the blank planchets were punched out. It's within weight tolerance.

Minimum tolerance weight is 2.98 grams so your coin is just .01 grams light. To be significant it needs to be about .4 grams light.

    It's light but in tolerance.
