    Happy New Year!!

Please excuse the horrible pictures, I tried but failed to use my zoom correctly on my phone. I feel like seasoned coin collector (you know who you are) can look at these sad pics and determine if this a 1970s small date. When i put it next to a large date, it looks very different, especially the 7 (much shorter).

Thanks in advance 1970s small date (2).jpg 1970s small date.jpg

I would give it a tentative yes with the caveat that I would like to see clearer pictures.

I say no. On the small date, the word LIBERTY should be very weakly struck. But better pics may change my mind.

Thanks. I used pics and identification techniques on line. However. This coin date looks different than all other 1970s I've encountered, for some reason. I'll try to get a better pic and send it.

I would say no based on the first picture. And also the second picture.

Looks like a Large Date to me. Bottom of 7 shifted down, top shifted down.
And the LIBERTY looks nice and detailed.
    Redo your lines.

Looking at them on a laptop vs my phone, I'm going to change to no. Until clearer pics come.

Thanks for the internet pics. Yes, I agree with everything you said about the curved 9, strong liberty vs. weak liberty, etc. Its just something about the date that seems different. I dont know, I sent better pics just now.

Try the picture from straight ABOVE. Straight DOWN.
when you do it at an angle you just make ppl think they see something different.

Take a look before posting. If you see any angle, especially for this, retake the photo. take a look at where your lens is and go straight down from there.

    and don't forget the LIBERTY

In the first photo it looks as if the 9 is curled around and the 7 is high enough.
But in the current photo it is absolutely large date.

Can I play? How about the fact that the 7 in the date is lower than the other numbers? This is what I came up with. Does that help the large date theory?

Ok, well I tried to get a straight down picture, but I still didn't get good pics.
For what they are worth here they are. And thanks for drawing the line, LaCointessa, that helps.

They are almost all large dates.
That's why the small date is desired.

Thanks, I see from your small date coin that the 7 should not hang down below the 0. Very obvious difference from my coin.
