Just wanted to know if this is an RPM? It may be the light playing tricks. Thanks!

Die chip to me. No re punch, because they do not place mint marks in the dies with any hand dies now.

It does appear to be a die chip, and the above statement is only partially correct. Yes, mint marks are now punched into the master dies, but this did not occur until sometime in the early 90's so the chance of having a RPM for a 70 Proof is still good. CONECA notes that there are three RPM varieties for the 1970S proof.

There are not three CONECA listed RPM's for the 70S PR Kennedy half dollar, there are none listed, and this would not be one.

Whoops for some reason I thought this was a cent. The pics made it look copperish. One can always be found! Keep up the hunt.

I'm not seeing split serifs so my vote would be no.

I'd like to see the rest of this coin, if possible.

There is slight machine doubling and that is actually fairly common on proof coins. Also, there is a die chip within the upper loop of the S.
