1970S pennys???

    I have like ten or twelve 1970S pennys in circulated condition, are they worth anything or are they copper bullion. lol

    With a mintage of 690,560,004 they don't have much numismatic value unless you have the Small Date variety.

    info on how to tell the two apart would be nice, also i have many others from different years all in and around the seventies?

    There's a good website that shows pics and describes how to tell. I cant think of it off the top of my head right now but... One way a lot of places will say is that the top of the 7 is more level with the 9 and the 0 but that doesn't really help. The two ways I think are best to tell is that on the small date the T and Y in LIBERTY aren't struck as well as on the 1970 S large date and they have soft edges. The other thing to look at is the end of the curl on the 9. On the large date the end of the curl points towards the top of the mint mark and on the small date it points towards the bottom of the 7.

    The small date is worth a few dollars at least. In good condition obviously they're worth more
