    Also look for a weakly struck LIBERTY on the small date, and a well struck LIBERTY on the large date.

    The bottom of the 9 will be pointy in the SD and blunt in the LD.

    @Willysilver . Love your perseverance. You might want to try googling the variety your trying to find and compare the images to what you've found (or search in the CT archives for some pics) Then, if things are still cloudy, post the pic. Hope this helps a little.

    Back in the very old, dark days, there wasn't a lot of info available. Having to do much of the research myself, helped me to learn a lot. Even though you can post a quick question to a forum like CT, IMO, looking up info and doing the research will really help you to learn about varieties and the minting process. It takes time, but there are no other shortcuts that I know

    The FG mark on reverse is a sign as well..
