1970 S penny

I have found these two 1970 s pennies and I was wondering if one of them was a small date. I'm not very good at telling that kind of stuff so I need help. Thanks. I zoomed in on the date to help you.

It's difficult to answer the question without seeing the "LIBERTY" side of the coin, as well.

 

Both large. The loop of the 9 points to the S. If it pointed to the bottom of the 7 it would be a small date.

 

Also, a few of the letters in LIBERTY have significant weakness to them on the small date 1970 S.
