1970 s penny doubled date?

    It appears to MD (machine doubling) IMO also it's doubled die lol

    Do you have a picture of the whole coin? At this point it looks to be MD as stated above.

    Notice how the doubling is present on both the date and mintmark? As a very general rule (there are the exceptions), when one sees this on a pre-1990 cent, it's a good indicator of strike doubling.
