1970 S one cent penny

    Trying to figure out if this is a small or large date. I tried taking a picture and drawing the lines across the bottom and top of the date. Still not sure. Thanks for any help!

    Large. Most of them are large. The curl of the 9 is the key marker, but there are others.

    i just look at the Liberty now, its the bast way to spot small dates.

    The proof 70-S small date won't have a weak Liberty.
    And some of the business strike LD's will be weak. You really need to
    look at all the markers to confirm.
