Hi, just wanted to know if this is a large or small date. There is some doubling and I am really not sure what to look for in determining large or small. Here are some pics.

The machine doubling muddies the picture a little, but I agree with ozleck, large date.

Thanks for the replies! Does anyone think that this could be a small over large date? I drew some lines on this pic to show both the prominent date and the double. I think that the double might be the large date and the prominent would be the small date. I read on http://www.lincolncentresource.com/s...smalldate.html that the word Liberty gets weaker but my question is would the strike stay strong since it was hit with the large date? Also about the 9 being pointed toward the 7; I think that this would be hard to see due to the doubling. I have found one other person with this type of coin and just wanted some opinions! Thank you! No, as you are talking about a design hub doubling as the date was part of the design, commonly called a Class III DD. The only one I know is a Proof, FS-030, CONECA 3-O-III , and it isvery distinctive. I agree is just a large date. The LIBERTY can be weak on either coin, just more so on the one. IMO. There are other normal ( not design hub) DDO for this date and mint, but they are of a single hub.
