When I first came across this 1970 S cent, it caught my attention. I think it is pretty interesting but don't believe it is a rare 1970 S DD. The doubling of the date and S is pretty strong but I am far from an expert on machine vs legitimate doubled die examples. 1970 S a by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S a by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S c by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S c by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S d by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S d by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S e by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S e by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S f by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S f by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S b by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM 1970 S b by Dooms posted Jul 13, 2019 at 6:09 PM
The doubling you see in the 3rd and 4th photo is mechanical doubling and is of no extra value. You can tell by the flatness of the apparently doubled portion. Jim
