1970-S ddo large cent?

    Hello I've been holding onto this coin for a little while, don't want to send it in, and waist the money if its not a ddo. Can anyone help?

    You'd be wasting your money having it graded even if it is a DDO.

    I'm sorry, that is the highest my camera can zoom..
    Why wouldn't it be worth it to get it graded Chris?

    You might try taking photos through your loupe or magnifier if possible, because the majority of apparent 70-S (LD) cent effects are machine doubling ( common), the minor DDO would need higher magnification to see them, and their market price is about the same as the cost of grading/validation for most of them. The only one really worth while is the Die #1, and it is dramatic enough to say this coin isn't it.
