Your first image shows a telltale sign of PMD the best. Note that the metal appears to be pushed up (crater effect) around the hole. Also, whenever I see an indentation on a coin, one of the first things I check is the same position on the opposite side to see if there is any damage. On your coin, that would be about 2 o'clock near the rim. Chris
