Looks like a "woody" or improperly mixed alloy. Very common in coins but fun to find. I don't see this getting a premium.
Cool. Yeah I have a 1981 or 80. Ill have to find it but has what looks like black thread running east to west across the shoulder region. You can see it on edges and up across 3/4 of the reverse
Weren't you on thread for my first 1972 ddo the other day Seattlite? Well...I am adding to that list. Not that I just found these in 1 week. I separated key dates and by ddo years or ddr years over the last few months so its about 20 or more bank boxes worth of searching. I know the first is. Didn't have time to look at others yet. Took quick pic on way out the door. Might be a good batch though
